
Ingredients
5-Alarm Sauce
- 1 Jalapeño, stem removed
- 1 Habanero, stem removed
- ¼ White onion
- 1 Clove garlic, crushed
- 3 tbsp - Prepared horseradish
- 2 tbsp - Hot pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp - Cayenne powder
- 1 tbsp - Ground black pepper
- ½ cup - (1 stick) Salted butter, melted
- 2 cup - Aged cayenne hot sauce
Chicken Wings
- 2 lb - Whole chicken wings
- Simon Barbecue Roasted Honey Rub
Preparation
- Preheat your grill for two-zone cooking: coals on one side, none on the other.
- Season the wings Roasted Honey Rub.
- Cook the wings over indirect heat with the lid closed.
- While wings are cooking, blend all 5-alarm sauce ingredients in a blender until smooth.
- Once the wings are nearly done, brush with the 5-alarm sauce and move to direct heat. Grill until crisp and lightly charred, flipping often to avoid burning.
- Serve with extra 5-Alarm sauce on the side.
