Ingredients
Burgers
- 2 lb - Ground beef
- 4 Slices of smoked Gouda
- 4 Eggs
- 12 Slices of hardwood smoked bacon
- 4 Burger buns
- Tomatoes, onions, lettuce, mayo and/or your favorite condiments
Coffee Rub
- 1 ½ tbsp - Ground coffee
- 1 tbsp - Brown sugar
- 2 tsp - Chili powder
- 2 tsp - Salt
- 1 tsp - Smoked paprika
- ½ tsp - Onion powder
- ½ tsp - Black pepper
Preparation
- Preheat your grill for a two zone cooking, having hot coals on one side and nothing on the other;
- Place the bacon slices for indirect heat and cook for 15 minutes or until desired doneness;
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal sized patties;
- Combine all Coffee Rub ingredients into a bowl then generously rub on both side of each beef patty;
- Place the burgers on your grill over direct heat and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness; Move the burgers to indirect heat and add a slice of Gouda cheese on top of each;
- Fry the eggs in a preheated and oiled cast iron skillet;
- Place a grilled beef patty between two burger buns with two slices of bacon, one fried egg and your favorite choice of condiments; Enjoy.
