Turkey Legs
- 4 Turkey Legs
- 2 tbsp - Olive oil
- Wood chunks for smoking, preferably apple or cherry
Dry Rub
- 2 tsp - Paprika
- 1 tsp - Dried thyme
- 1 tsp - Dried oregano
- 2 tsp - Garlic powder
- 1 tsp - Onion powder
- 1 tsp - Salt
- 1 tsp - Black pepper
Habanero Mango Sauce
- 1 cup - Ketchup
- 1 cup - Mango juice
- 1 ½ tbsp - El Yucateco Green Habanero Hot Sauce
- ¼ cup - Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp - Steak sauce
- 1 tsp - Onion powder
- ½ tsp - Black pepper
Preparation
- Preheat your smoker at 250°F;
- In a bowl, combine all Dry Rub ingredients; Brush the turkey legs with olive oil then season both sides with the rub;
- Place the turkey legs in your smoker and toff a few wood chunks onto hot coals for smoking; Cook for 1h to 1h30 or until the interior of the meat reaches 165°F on an instant read thermometer;
